Rockdale School had 10 students participate in the ILMEA All-State Elementary Chorus at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, January 27th-what an honor! Congratulations to these 4th, 5th, and 6th graders!
A special thank you to Mrs. Kelch, for dedicating her time to preparing our students for this opportunity, and to Mrs. Shear for traveling to Peoria with students on Saturday! Your dedication and passion for our music program is inspiring!

On January 11th, seven students were inducted into Rockdale School's National Junior Honor Society. With the support of our previously inducted 8th grade members, they will participate in service projects for throughout the rest of the school year.
At the induction ceremony, the Rockdale NJHS Chapter was presented with a certificate of recognition for the work members did to raise $290.74 for the Salvation Army during their bell ringing event at the beginning of December. Thank you to all who donated!

The Will County Center for Community Concerns has partnered with other Community businesses in order to host the "Share the Love" event. This is a free coat giveaway that will be held on February 7, 2024 from 5-7 pm at 2455 Glenwood Ave, Joliet.
Will your student be attending Joliet Central or Joliet West next school year?! JTHS will be hosting their annual Freshman Showcase at both high schools on Wednesday, January 31st. This is a great opportunity for 8th grade students to visit their future high school campus!

Due to possible inclement tomorrow, we are cancelling practice for Tuesday, January 9.
Our first game is still scheduled for Wednesday, January 10 at 4:15pm at Chaney-Monge.

Due to unexpected maintenance needed in the gym, we have to cancel practice for tomorrow, Thursday, December 28. Currently we will still have practice on Friday. If this changes we will let you know.
